Johannesburg, South Africa - Roots2000 (MXO & Sliq Angel) , the acclaimed South African pioneers of the AfroSoul and AfroPop sound, are pleased to announce their upcoming show featuring a new song listening session. The event will take place on the 7th April 2023 at Untitled Basement, Braamfontein in Johannesburg.
Roots2000 is a collaboration between MXO and Sliq Angel, who have been in the music industry for over 20 years. They will be introducing their latest project, Monday Blues, a full-length album that pays homage to when they first rocked the open mic in Yeoville, Johannesburg. The show will feature classic songs such as Amantongomane, Sistah Kunjani, Mngqusho and Zandiy'bone, as well as new hits like Jonga, Aye Afrika, Uyingcwele and Nje Nje Ngumama. Music Man, a talented musician known for blending classic and orchestra music with house music.
