The team expressed a firm belief that mental health care should be considered a necessity rather than a luxury. Acknowledging the staggering statistic that one in four people will experience some form of mental illness in their lifetime, they recognize the pervasive stigma associated with seeking help, which often leads to isolation and further suffering.

In terms of eligibility, the team confirmed that everyone above the age of 18 years can join Mental Insure. The mandatory is that one should afford a monthly premium of R99 p/m. And all who have opted for their services must have internet access and be able to connect through platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or WhatsApp.
