Johannesburg, 20 April 2023 - Get ready for the most hilarious and educational event of the year as arch-rivals radio host Mafa Bavuma and celebrity medical practitioner Dr. Mthembeni Tebelele take jabs at each other in a no-holds-barred roast. The event, aptly named Roast of Dr. Tebelele and Mafa Bavuma, promises to be a laughter-filled festival with a focus on sexual education and health issues.

Scheduled to take place in Gqeberha on November 25 2023, the event will have several build-up events throughout the year. The show is hosted by Culo Communications and produced by Kwathole Conexion in conjunction with Lazmi Events Hospitality & Logistics Management. The event will feature well-known Gqeberha comedians, including a number of local comedians and surprise celebrity guests.

Although the event is focused on comedy, Dr. Tebelele's expertise in health and sexual issues will also be infused into the show. Mafa Bavuma adds, "Gqeberha is known for being the breeding place for comedy. The city has given birth to several famous funny men, including Loyiso Gola, and has hosted big festivals, including the famous 99% Xhosa Comedy. This Roast will be the first-ever comedy show of this kind in Gqeberha. It will also infuse issues about sexual health hilariously."
